Armour Elite journey began with my frustration of being unable to find any shirts that fit me. Like anyone with an athletic build you know the pain of trying to find clothes that fit. You are faced with the dilemma, squeeze into your current size or size up.

Both situations are undesirable, leaving you with an unprofessional look. Of which can only be fixed by a tailor, costing you more time and money. Something had to change.

With so many brands now making fashion for a diverse range of body types, we thought why not athletic bodies?

We set off in all directions to find the elusive muscle fit shirt. To strike gold and find the solution to our fashion woes, However all we found was fools gold.

We found the 3 deadly S's of the muscle fit shirt: synthetic, spandex, spray on. The worst offender from this list is spray on.

A short cut way to fit the broadest amount of people is to increase the stretch and decrease the size. But the result from that is less James Bond and more gym wear with a collar and tie.

Lastly, men with more muscle mass produce more body heat. Combine that with polyester fabrics and you get a sweaty, olfactory nightmare.

How is Armour Elite solving this problem? By addressing the key points where fit is crucial namely waist, chest, arms and neck. We have spent over a year perfecting this formula. From this we have come to a archetypal athletic body type, which covers a range of athletes.

We will keep fabrics as natural as possible, and use minimal elastane.
